Job Summary

The Granicus Experience Group (GXG) is Granicus’ in-house digital agency, a cross-functional team of strategists, analysts, communicators, and Granicus technology experts focused on customer experience and digital communications. We leverage best-in-class human-centered practices and a design-thinking approach to help our federal, state, and local government customers better connect with the people they serve. GXG is a fast-growing agency at a high-growth tech company, seeking an Operations Manager for a Strategic Account. This role supports a busy communications team by managing the intake and tracking of speaking engagements and media requests for government agency leadership and Subject Matter Experts. The Operations Manager serves as a highly visible project leader responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives for senior leadership across the government agency. This role functions to ensure disciplined execution, structured communication, programmatic oversight, and adherence to timelines across multiple strategic bodies of work including maintenance of centralized tracking systems for requests, deadlines, follow‑up actions, and historical record maintenance.

 

The ideal candidate brings strong program management discipline, business acumen, executive communication skills, structured problem solving, and the ability to work independently with sound judgment. The candidate will support multiple leaders and internal teams simultaneously and oversee special assignments as organizational priorities shift.


Strong candidates will have a proven track record of managing multiple project timelines, technical systems, and calendars and supporting multiple internal stakeholder groups for clients, preferably for government. Candidates must have a desire to be part of a data-driven, client-focused, fast-paced team that loves the mission of providing world-class service to government clients.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Lead, track, and manage timelines for priority initiatives across Communications, 
Policy, and Strategic Projects ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables 
stay on schedule.
• Serve as the coordination point between internal teams, senior leadership, and 
external stakeholders.
• Establish structured project frameworks, dashboards, and progress reports to 
maintain transparency and accountability.
• Anticipate roadblocks and proactively develop mitigation paths.
• Ensure programmatic discipline around scope management, prioritization, 
staffing, and handoffs.
• Act as a strategic partner and problem solver for senior leaders, providing 
research, summaries, briefing materials, and decision support tools.
• Draft high-level memos, presentations, and communication updates that reflect 
leadership priorities

• Maintain judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information and executive communications.
• Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, including operations, finance, HR, technology, policy, stakeholder and industry engagement, and communications.
• Identify areas to streamline processes or optimize resource allocation.
• Track KPIs and performance indicators to measure progress and effectiveness.

You Will Love This Job If You Have

Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, economics, analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategic operations, program management, or a chief-of-style capacity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with disciplined prioritization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentations.
• Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority.
• High emotional intelligence, judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
• Advanced competency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
• Experience delivering analytical or operational projects in consulting or high-growth environments.
• MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong personal initiative and on-time delivery of project tasks and deliverables.
• Maintain awareness and understanding of government news, as well as digital communications and industry developments that apply to the position and responsibilities.
• Be hungry and passionate, have a collaborative spirit and be committed to making a difference with communications and collaboration

• This role will be performed onsite as the customer offices in Northern Virginia, and/or 
Washington, DC. 
• The candidate will be required to obtain a confidential security clearance, with sponsorship 
from the customer agency.

Pay Range

USD $86,500.00 - USD $106,000.00 /Yr.
