Job Summary

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders on all people-related matters while coaching and developing business teams to help them achieve business outcomes. You'll be influential in shaping organizational design and strategy, leading talent management initiatives, and driving a culture of high performance, urgency, and engagement. Your role will cover implementing talent strategy, supporting performance management through coaching and development, global HR project work, and providing subject matter expertise around HR policies and procedures. You’ll work collaboratively with the broader HR teams to help drive the people plan across all functions and regions of the organization.

You will work with and support a global customer base, with a strong focus on Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Prior experience or expertise supporting this market is highly desired as you will serve as the go-to subject matter expert on ANZ employment law and best practices. This role must be located in the Pacific Time Zone to ensure workday overlaps with the ANZ region and be flexible for occasional evening hours.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

  • Leads strategic employee initiatives to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives within talent management, performance, compensation, training, and culture initiatives.
  • Builds strong business relationships with internal stakeholders (VP+ level), acting as the main point of contact for all people-related matters in the business unit such as supporting performance management, employee relations issues, conducting HR investigations, increasing engagement, reducing turnover, talent planning, and conducting terminations and exit interviews.
  • Applies depth of HR knowledge and may guide new or other HRBP team members regarding policies or practices.
  • Operates independently and identifies opportunities to apply solutions that will solve complex business problems.
  • Leads and executes change management projects and manages HR-related internal and external communications within the business unit.
  • Coaches managers on all aspects of people management such as employee development, disciplinary action, terminations, and employee engagement utilizing data and trends.
  • Assists in implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs across the company, helping to maximize usage, recommending impactful changes, and creating sustained solutions to employee challenges.
  • Participates and leads special projects around global HR processes and utilizes successful project management skills and tracking.
  • Enables high-performing teams using people data and metrics provided to business units on a regular basis.
  • Works closely with the internal Talent Acquisition team ensuring alignment between business requirements, culture, and candidates for onboarding and internal mobility needs.
  • Works in conjunction with the Learning & Development team, assisting in creating learning materials and conducting training programs as required.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements globally related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Participates in company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal reporting requirements, including any related to EEO, AAP, ADA, FMLA, DOL, Worker compensation, etc.
  • Provides strong customer service to all stakeholders ensuring HR continually drives value throughout the business.
  • Demonstrates the highest levels of integrity in handling confidential information.

You Will Love This Job If You Have

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 3–8 years of experience in an HRBP, HR professional, or equivalent role; preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • 3–5 years specifically dealing with Employee Relations, HR investigations, and/or other highly confidential and sensitive employment situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult and influence senior leaders to drive strategic HR initiatives.
  • Foundational knowledge of applicable state and federal regulatory requirements, principles, and procedures in human resources; FMLA, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA, CFRA, OFCCP, and more (or be good at Google-ing).
  • Subject matter expertise in ANZ employment law and experience supporting ANZ customer base highly desired.
  • Current HR certification is a plus, i.e., SPHR, SHRM-CP, CIPD, etc., or a desire to attain one.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment with a flexible approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discreetly with highly confidential information.
  • Sound judgment and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels; strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills — ability to prepare engagement presentations, analyze data, and produce clear written materials.
  • Able to travel up to 5% of the time to assist in supporting all offices.

Pay Range

USD $74,400.00 - USD $96,100.00 /Yr.
