Our premier destination marketing solutions power 1,000 destinations across the globe, including small towns, big cities, and various types of venues. Those destinations use our CRM, web content management systems, and digital marketing services to attract tourists, conventions, and engage stakeholders. As Granicus continues to advance the power of connected technology and data-driven insights, we seek a dynamic director to lead our digital marketing services for destinations.
The Senior Manager, Destination Digital Marketing, is a hands-on leader responsible for executing high-impact digital marketing strategies that elevate destination brands and drive measurable engagement. Reporting to the Senior Director, Destination Experience, this role focuses on operational excellence, campaign execution, and performance optimization across digital channels. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in one or more core capabilities — paid media, audience growth strategies, email marketing, web content, SEO, AI, and human-centered design in communications — and will be passionate about using data and technology to improve the visitor experience.

Operational Excellence
Lead teams to execute digital marketing campaigns with a focus on quality, timeliness, and performance.
Develop and manage workflows, processes, and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability.
Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on KPIs such as engagement, conversion, and ROI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the broader Granicus Experience Group leadership team and Granicus teams across GTM, Product, and Implementation to ensure seamless delivery.
Maintain high standards of quality control across all deliverables and client-facing outputs.
Support scoping and drive resource allocation for customer projects.
Digital Marketing Expertise
Own and lead strategy and execution in one or more core areas:
Email Marketing: Develop lifecycle campaigns, segmentation strategies, and automation workflows.
Audience Growth: Design and implement acquisition and retention strategies across channels, including paid media.
Web Content: Oversee content strategy, UX optimization, and performance tracking.
SEO: Drive organic visibility through technical SEO, content optimization, and link-building.
AI Optimization: Innovate around AI-driven search and content discovery, including strategies for zero-click search environments and emerging metrics.
Human-Centered Design: Apply design-thinking principles to digital communications, ensuring accessibility, empathy, and relevance in all user touchpoints.
Paid Media: Plan, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns across search, display, social, and programmatic platforms to drive targeted engagement and ROI.
Stay current with digital trends and apply insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
Partner with analytics teams to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of learning and excellence.
Provide direction on hiring, onboarding, and professional development within the destination experience teams.
Collaborate with the Senior Director on strategic planning and innovation initiatives.
Collaborate with the Government Experience leaders to ensure operational efficiencies, including resourcing, project management, and team utilization
Represent digital marketing functions in internal meetings, customer engagements, and speaking opportunities, as needed.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of all projects and initiatives
Proven track record of managing and optimizing digital campaigns across multiple channels.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to travel 20–30% for client meetings, industry events, and team collaboration.
Expertise in digital marketing including SEO, PPC, display, mobile, email, and social media.
Experience with leisure, tourism, and event marketing for destinations preferred.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
Ability to travel 20–30% for customer meetings, industry events, and speaking engagements.
